In the fourth episode in Genesis Block's Protocol Analysis series, we analyse Zora, a decentralised protocol founded in 2020 and built on the Ethereum blockchain, where anyone can permissionless-ly buy and sell NFTs. While NFT marketplaces can be built on top of it, it is not a marketplace/platform in itself. Think of it as a collection of smart contracts that are meant to be the base layer when interacting with NFTs.
